In addition to our private equity offering, we offer a ‘Corporate Planning and Strategy Unit’ (CPSU) as part of our product portfolio, where we look at working on an advisory capacity with the management of both investee & non-investee companies.
Having analyzed multiple investment opportunities, we noticed a common theme among many mid-sized businesses. As outsiders looking in, we observed that poor financial and working capital management, dealing with inefficient organization structures, lack of focus on cashflows, and confusion over suitable funding options were some of the roadblocks holding them back from realizing their true potential. Many of these businesses often had good product offerings and strong customer bases which enabled strong revenue generation. However, they often ended up with little or no bottom line to show at the end of the year.
Our simple value proposition to a business owner is that we will allow you to focus your efforts on developing the front end of the business, while Tempest will ensure that strong revenues translate into strong profits and cashflows. In addition, we will work closely with the business owner and marketing teams to explore new market and product opportunities with the aim of broadening the company’s revenue model. Unlike a typical consultancy assignment, we prefer to work hand in hand with the business over a 3–5-year time horizon and align our financial incentives with the long-term performance of the company and shareholder returns.
